United Methodist Women

The United Methodist Women are a community of women, led by Alice G., whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

UMW Unit meets the second Tuesday of every other month at 10:00am. The unit supports various projects throughout the year.  The next meeting is July 10th in Ross Hall.

Needles of Love meets the last Tuesday of each month at 10:00am. This group of ladies makes bed pads and lap robes for cancer patients.

We have just added a new Women's group.  The DIVAS (Divinely Inspired Victorious And Serving) are led by Jeanne B.  The DIVAS adopted Don Brewer Elementary School as their local mission project.  The group is looking for volunteers to help out at the school and to participate in mentoring.  The group is also collecting clothes for the school clinic.  Recently the DIVAS participated in sprucing up the school grounds.  The DIVAS are always looking for new members and is open to women of all ages.  Our next meeting is July 5th.  Meeting place TBA.
